Yakima Watermill was founded by Joseph Whitmarsh in 1983 in Western Washington. Joseph moved the business to Yakima Valley in 1987. He sold the business to his nephew Robert (Bob) Whitmarsh in 1996. Bob later decided it was time to retire and began mentoring Ryan Carmichael to take over the business. Yakima Watermill has found success because of the Sundance and Dream makers Spa brand as well as the Bio Guard Pool and Spa chemicals all while committing to a higher level of service.
This location remains the same today and services all Yakima County as well as the surrounding places of Packwood, Ellensburg, Granger, and Mattawa. Today the growth has Yakima Watermill as one of the larges Sundance and Dream makers Spa store dealer. This could not have happened without the support of friends, family, and the most outstanding customer base.
In 2023, Ryan took over sole ownership, after working for himself in the pump and electrical field. Ryan, his family and hard-working staff continue to improve on the traditions and values that made Yakima Watermill a household name in the community.
